After Casamicciola going to
the wonderful coast-line , you can arrive to Lacco
Ameno, one of the most beautiful corner of Ischia pretty and
seaside, it's the smaller village of ischia. In Lacco Ameno rose
Pithecusa , the first colony of south Italy built on Montevico.
It is rich of archaeology reports so we advise you to see the
villa Arbusto museum where is the famous Nestore's Cup
with the first greek inscription, and the Santa Restituta
church. Lacco Ameno is famous for his characteristic rock
"The Mushroom" that rises from the sea near the little touristic
harbor. His shape,made by the sea and the wind, is the symbol of
the village. The beachs are very beautiful and San Montano bay,
placed between the Zaro rocky and Montevico rocky, has a low
sound-depth. This peculiarity give it a carribean atmosphere.
